Martin E. Bauer holds his position for International SOS and Control Risks in Frankfurt since September 2016. In his role as Regional Security Manager Germany & Austria, he is responsible for implementing and optimising travel security processes as well as advising organisations on travel security concepts and evacuation planning.
Martin gained his expertise at the United States Marine Corps and at the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC where he hold the position of Security Protective Specialist. His main focus was on physical protection for U.S. government employees in high-threat environments overseas, with assignments in Iraq, Pakistan and South Sudan. Martin created and implemented new guidelines for both the Department of State and the Department of Defense missions, while coordinating security with multinational partner organisations such as the German Embassy, the UN and the Iraqi Government.
Born in Germany, Martin grew up in the United States of America. Next to his work at International SOS and Control Risks, he is enrolled at the American Military University for International Relations, Globalisation and Human Securities
