Vose Software was founded in 2009 by a group of highly experienced risk analysts with the vision of building the World’s most powerful, yet easy-to-use, quantitative risk analysis software.

Based in Ghent (the home of Guy Verhofstadt), the company began by developing ModelRisk, an Excel add-in with over 20,000 users in every imaginable industry. ModelRisk introduced many concepts and tools that are now standard in spreadsheet risk modelling.

Next, it developed Tamara, a project risk analysis tool that offers a complete range of capabilities for evaluating cost and schedule uncertainty. Tamara enables users to perform precise risk analyses on the most complex schedules with ease.

Vose Software then turned its attention to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). It recognized that the available tools offered very limited analytical capabilities because of their qualitative nature, and that a business tended to evaluate and manage risks in silos. These risk management efforts could only be integrated into a common, consistent framework if one employed quantitative methods. Using its deep knowledge of quantitative risk analysis, they developed Pelican – now their core product – which brings together risk management of all types under one roof.

True to their roots, Vose Software continues to provide first class consulting and training services to its user-base by some of the world’s most experienced risk analysts.
